Eswatini National Day

On September 6th, 1968, Eswatini gained independence from British rule, beginning its journey as a sovereign nation.  As one of Africa’s last traditional monarchies, Eswatini blends modern statehood with deep cultural traditions.  This day reflects both the preservation of identity and the embrace of progress.

Eswatini is defined by its rich landscapes, from mountains to savannahs, and by traditions like Umhlanga that bring communities together.  Independence Day is a moment to honor heritage, unity, and the vision of a people proud of their past and looking confidently toward their future.
